Fylde Coast CCGs’ Annual Reports Summary 2019/20

Annual Report Summary 2019-20

We are NHS Blackpool and NHS Fylde and Wyre Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). As CCGs, our responsibility is to commission (plan and buy) hospital, community and GP services for the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre population of about 350,000.

We have produced this document following feedback from our patient groups, and it provides a summary of our work over the 2019/2020 financial year.

While the two CCGs are required to publish their own individual annual reports, the two organisations are working very closely together and as such this document will demonstrate the joined-up work going on across the Fylde Coast.

Read about our challenges and our achievements. Our combined budget for the year was £646million. Details of what we spent it on are below.

Find out how you can get involved with our organisations.

We have included a glossary of terms. These terms are underlined throughout this document.

For more detailed information, please see our formal annual reports and accounts 2019/2020 documents which are available below:

Our two CCGs work collaboratively and have been brought together under a shared management team led by a single accountable officer. While we operate legally as two separate CCGs, our staff effectively work as one Fylde Coast team. This is why this document has been produced on a Fylde Coast basis to summarise the annual reports of both Blackpool and Fylde and Wyre CCGs.
