The Village Practice requires a Patient Pathway Assistant/Medical Secretary to join our busy team. The successful candidate needs to have a solid background of medical typing, understand patient pathways and be able to work to tight deadlines.

The post-holder will be responsible for providing a high standard of secretarial and admin support to the practice and you will be playing an important role in supporting the coordination of patient’s clinical pathway by ensuring that the administration processes and information are efficient, effective and in line with NHS referral to treatment standards. You will also need to be able to type clinical letters.

You will be expected to work together with all teams to provide high quality care for patients within the practice. Therefore the ability to forge close working relationships with hospitals administration staff, clinical staff and other colleges is essential for the post. A working knowledge of excel and other Microsoft programmes are essential as is the experience of electronic patient record/information systems Inc. Emis web and previous secretarial roles or administration role with letter typing as a key function.
